Cover Your Face
Inspired by a recent trip to the grocery store. (The line that most pertains to that particular trip is the one about the nose.)
TTTO “Sing As We Go,” Harry Parr-Davies
(by way of “Sit On My Face,” lyrics by Eric Idle)
Cover your face, and show me that you love me
I’ll cover my face and show you I love you, too
I’d hate to see you eulogized
Or find myself demised
There would be dismay
Cover your face, the way that you’re supposed to
I’ll cover my face, and yes, that means my nose, too
Life can be keen when we practice hygiene
So let’s cover our faces in all public places
And then we’ll come out OK
